About the Author

LINDA D. JOHNSON is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. She produced co-hosted “Fiction, Fantasy, and Reality” on Channel 4 with Glenn Howard and Rev. James Hawkins. In addition, Ms. Johnson wrote the script, produced, directed, edited a three-one hour presentation of “Indiana Black Expo ’82” aired on cable.

Other credits, mother in the video production, “Gang Fire”; projected youth violence, produced by Indianapolis’ Fire Department, Public Schools and the Police Department. Also, a spectator in HBO production, “Soul of the Game”; this explored events leading up to the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1945, starred Blair Underwood.

For years, Ms. Johnson performed with Freetown Village, a living history museum about African-American life in Indiana.

She graduated from Bristol University, receiving the degree of associate of business science in business administration accounting. Furthermore, Ms. Johnson wrote the Accounting Manual while employed by Bright House Networks, Inc. had publication in The Afro-American Journal, have recited her poems at events.
